The Arkalalah Office is located in the Arkansas City Chamber of Commerce
office at 106 South Summit.

- The "Big Parade" begins at Wilson Park and ends at Adams
Avenue. Floats will line-up on Summit Street north of Pine. Floats
must enter from Kansas Avenue. There will be no entry from side streets.
Parade participants should walk to Wilson Park and be directed to their
location by Arkalalah personnel. Exact float positions will not be
available until parade line-up on Saturday. Entries are due Thursday,
October 18, 2012.
Parade Float Prize List
Organizations: 1st - $450; 2nd - $250; 3rd - $150.
Churches: 1st - $450; 2nd - $250; 3rd - $150
School: 1st - $450; 2nd - $250; 3rd - $150
Commercial: Plaques awarded to winners. No cash prizes.
Queen's Choice Award:
Float Participation Drawing - $1,000 Organizations, Churches, and Schools
eligible. Big Parade entry required. Additional chance to win if also
a participant in the AT&T Parade of Lights on Wednesday night. Prize
will be at the Night Show Saturday.

- Little Mr. and Miss
- Sponsored by Ark City Youth Football Association
Little Mr. And Miss competition is open to any child between the
ages of 4 and 6 that resides within the USD 470 district. Children
must be 4 years old by October 31 or 6 years old until November 1
of this year. They are to submit two (2) wallet size photos, one
of which will be attached to a voting container that is distributed
among the Arkansas City merchants. Voting is one penny per vote.
Registration will be Saturday, September 8th and Saturday, September 29, 10:00 a.m. – 2:00
p.m., at the Ark City High School Football Stadium.
Little Mr. & Miss Arkalalah, runners-up, and all other
contestants receive prizes donated by Ark City Youth Football Association
and area merchants. A prize display will be set up in the window of
Willow Fashion, formerly Brown’s
Office Supply. The top 6 finalists ride the float in the Children’s
Parade as well as the Big Parade.
Proceeds will benefit the Ark City Youth Football Association to purchase

Parade starts at the corner of Summit and Birch
All parade entries will line up as directed by the Arkalalah Committee
(Please do not line up on the side streets)
Every spectacular entry must be covered with twinkling lights.
This is an opportunity for Schools, Churches, and Organizations to create
spectacular floats, which must be covered with twinkling lights.
Schools and Churches: Prizes: 1st - $200.00; 2nd - $100.00; 3rd - $50.00
Organizations: 1st - $200.00; 2nd - $100.00; 3rd - $50.00

Summit.

- Bloat and Gloat Concession Marathon
- Sponsored by WB Meats, 1025 The River, and the Arkalalah Executive Committee
This contest will be held on the corner of 5th Avenue and 1st Street.
This is an eating extravaganza of gastronomical proportions.
Each team needs to be sponsored by a business and pay a $25.00 entry
fee. Entries are limited to 12 teams. If more than 12 teams enter,
names will be drawn to select the 12 lucky teams.
Each team will eat equal portions of the same item. Food must be
completely swallowed before contestant can proceed to the next item.
The winners will be determined by either the first team to finish
all food items or by the last team still standing.
Register by October 25, at WB Meats,423 South Summit.
The winning team will take home a Bloat and Gloat Trophy and $150.00;
2nd Prize - $75 gift card to WB; 3rd Prize - $50 gift card to WB.

How to Enter
In Person: at the Ark City Rec Center, 225 E. Fifth Avenue,
Arkansas City (Mon-Fri 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.) until October 28th.
Note: The ACRC office is closed on Friday, October 29th, but registrations
will be taken at the Chamber of Commerce Office, 106 South Summit,
from 7:30-8:30 a.m. on the day of the race.
By Mail: You may also register by completing the entry
form and mailing it with your entry fee
